A tree looks the way it looks because of its function. Life can result in very complex structures, but even if complex it’s built from basic elements. There is a connection between beauty and function. It’s with objects like with living organisms. A healthy tree is the tree you find attractive. When the staircase looks out of proportion, it’s probably uncomfortable to walk in. When you find a sailing boat attractive and beautiful, it’s probably a fast sailing boat. We want to take it from there, from the inside and out.
